Children have an amazing aptitude for learning a second language at a young age, and this becomes even easier when they are having fun. MCE provides immensely enjoyable mandarin classes for children aged 1 to 5 in a structured playgroup with music, movement, singing, dramatic play, art and craft, story telling, games and more in a truly multi-cultural environment!

Our program for 5 to 12 year olds are offered at either mid week After School Clubs or at Weekend Clubs on a Saturday/ Sunday. Similar to our playgroup program, our program for 5 to 12 year olds has been created by experienced educators and bilingual teaching staff. Our Mandarin program for children is also continually researched and developed and we call upon the expertise of professional Education Consultants globally to advise us on our curriculum and delivery techniques.

Recent educational thinking across the fields of MFL and multicultural education has highlighted the relevance of teaching Mandarin Chinese in modern English primary and secondary schools. Progressive schools in the North West have already begun to introduce Mandarin into their curricular and extra-curricular timetables: a movement initiated particularly by primary schools, who are soon to be required to teach at least one Modern Foreign Language at Key Stage 2.
